3 Days, 3 Different Hairstyles – Collab with Lau

Hey Guys!

So today, I’m going to be trying something different…like completely different.

Like I’ve never done this shit before.

But the good thing about it is that this is a collab with Lau @honestlylau! She’s fairly new to blogging so go over and say Hi to her!

She came up with the idea that we both try out each others blogging styles since we both wanted to get a bit out of our comfort zones.

That’s right guys –

I’m a beauty blog for the day.

So on Friday, I went on Youtube and found 3 different hairstyles that I wanted to try out over three different days! In this post, I wanna tell you guys the different reactions I got, how I found them, if they were easy or not…all that jazz – let’s get into it!

Saturday –

So this was the first day of me trying different hairstyles and I thought I’d start with an oldie but goodie from Zoella. I chose to do her Dutch Braid look! I’ll leave the video here –

Let me just tell you – THIS WAS HARD AS FUCK.

Now my hair is super thick and I actually have extensions in it right now that make it even thicker…lemme just say – THAT MADE IT TEN TIMES HARDER.

Okay, maybe I’m over exaggerating. Once I got the braid out of the way, the rest was kinda easy – I mean, all I had to do was curl my hair and since my hair is already curly I got to skip that step! Lucky me huh?(!) I didn’t use any of the sprays and stuff because I didn’t really have any so I used a bit of my TREsemme hairspray and I was set for the day.

Now I didn’t really get any different reactions on this day because I sometimes like to braid my hair a lot so I’m guessing they didn’t even notice…so my head AND hands were in agony for no reason…(can you tell I’m having a blast?)

Sunday –

So on this day I decided to use a tutorial from one of my favourite Youtubers – good old Meghan Rienks.

Now honestly – this video kinda confused the fuck outta me. I mean, she kept on calling the hair different “sections” and I honestly didn’t know what to do…which was probably why I ended up not liking this hairstyle as much – I mean it looked cool I guess, but the 45 minutes to took me to do when I could literally spend 10 seconds putting it into a ponytail? Not so cool.

I got a good reception from this post – a few friends that I video called said it was really nice and I feel like if I carried on doing it over and over again then I would get the hang of it and maybe make it more of a regular thing. It’s a cool one right?

Monday –

So this morning I woke up and I wanted to do something semi simple so I turned to The Freckled Fox and her Rope Braid tutorial –

I found this one as I was looking through to find some quick and easy hairstyles and this one was 2 minutes so it basically called out to me.

I LOVED this hairstyle so much! And so did my family. My dad said he really liked it and I went out today to try and find a job (long story – next blog post okay?) and even some of the people I saw took second glances at it. Maybe it was a bad thing but I’ll take it as a compliment.

It was by far my favourite – it was quick and simple yet super pretty – I’m definitely gonna be trying this one again.

Okay, so in conclusion – I guess this beauty stuff isn’t that bad overall. Going into this, I had super low expectations and didn’t think it would make an interesting post because I was uninterested but once I got into it, it was a blast…although, I think I’ll just stick to my style of blogging for now. But hey! You never know what the future may bring!
