Hey alll –
Welcome back to my bloggggg .
I hope you’ve all had a great weekend and are getting ready for school to start againnnnnn (ew I hate the fact that I still have school yet some countries have already finished for the year…#suckstobeBritish. Where in the world are you guys from and wherever you are, do you guys still have school? Lemme know in the comments!
Anyways, as you could all probably tell by the title, I TURNED VEGAN!
Yes, you’re lil chicken loving Alex has finally made the change! (are ya proud of me mum??)
So some of you may think that this is hella random and honestly, I agree with you – it legit came out of nowhere!
Lemme give you the run down of where this idea came from –
so one day, lil old Alex was scrolling through Netflix, looking for one movie on the damn thing which she actually hasn’t watched (I have a lot of free time guys…)
and thennnn, literally by a miracle, I happened to stumble across a certain documentary called
WHAT. THE. HEALTH.
lemme insert a little snippet right here –
The film exposes the collusion and corruption in government and big businesses that are costing us trillions of healthcare dollars and keeping us sick.
When I first watched this documentary, I genuinely couldn’t believe my eyes on how corrupt everything was. There are cancer awareness associations and companies that are known for spreading awareness on the cause of health complications which are putting meat on their front pages as a part of a “healthy diet” when there is a strong correlation between meat consumption and the likelihood of cancer??? No fucking way. It’s actually insane how many lies are being fed through these sources and the government themselves.
Now I’m not here to force my opinion or viewpoints on anybody else, especially since I’ve primarily been a meat eater my entire life but I just can’t go on after watching that documentary and continue to slowly poison myself when it can all easily be prevented by a healthy plant based diet!
So that, to make a long story short, is why I became vegan. It hasn’t been that hard for me surprisingly – there is still a tonne of yummy food that I can eat that is 100% cruelty free and it sounds weird but my insides feel better too? As a matter of fact, in my 1st week of turning vegan, without even trying, I managed to lose TEN POUNDS
10 POUNDS (of weight smart asses) – THAT IS FUCKING INSANE.
like I’ve never felt lighter (LITERALLY) and I think that it is a life change that everyone can adapt to if they are willing to give it a chance, not to mention the horrible circumstances inflicted upon these animals. I think a little education can go a long way, which is why I urge you all to watch the documentary, just to be more informed about your options !
Turning vegan was one of the best things Ive done in my life and I don’t see myself turning back anytime soon or even EVER!
