Here all week – a poem

THE WAY WE FEEL IS HARD TO EXPLAIN

AS I PONDER AND WONDER WHY WE WORK IN THESE WAYS

THE WAY WE COMMUNICATE, SHOW HOW WE WORK

IT MAKES ALL COMPLEXITY SHUDDER AND URK

EVERY SNOWFLAKE IS UNIQUE – NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN

BUT WHAT IF I SEE THE SAME EVERYDAY?

SAME BODY, SAME SKIN, SAME FUCKING FOUR WALLS

SAME CRAPPY EXPERIENCES THAT BRING ME DOWN TO THE FLOOR

I LAUGH WHEN I CRY, DO YOU THINK THAT’S WEIRD?

BECAUSE IF I DON’T, THEN I’LL CEASE TO BE HERE

I’LL CEASE TO EXIST

NOW THAT’S SOME CRAZY SHIT

IF I LET IT EAT ME, I’D BE OVERWEIGHT

FROM ALL THE DESOLATE MEALS THAT I MAKE MYSELF TAKE

I FEEL RAD AND BAD AND FUCKING MAD

I FELL HARD FOR THAT BOY TO GET BACK AT MY DAD

WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL TRULY A L I V E?

THE CREATURES UNDER YOUR BED, OR LOOKING UP AT THE SKY?

FOR SOME ALL IT TAKES IS ONE TRUE FRIEND

BUT THEY NEVER LAST – OH YES  – THE CYCLE NEVER ENDS

I WONDER HOW A GIRL LIKE ME MADE IT THIS FAR IN LIFE

JUST 16 YEARS OLD, FILLED WITH MISERY AND HYPE

A LIVING PARADOX AT YOUR SERVICE

YEP THAT’S ME

BUT DONT BE FOOLED – IM HERE ALL WEEK.

  1. Bayance says:

G.I.R.L. I don’t know if I should be clapping or concerned. Clapping because I’m so proud of the amazing writer you are – you capture everything so well and ugh YES girl! But sis I’m also concerned because I’m a total grandma and can’t help it. How are youuu? ALSO, I uninstalled instagram and just realized I changed my password but don’t remember?? Yay for me! So I can’t talk to you until I reset it which I’ll try to do soon but definitely update me here if you can!
