My First Concert – harry styles

Hey dudes,

Sooo as you can most likely tell from the title, I’m gonna be telling you guys all about my harry styles concert experience. Lemme give you all a quick summary to begin with first –

it was fucking awesome

it was BY FAR one of the best days of my life and I am so glad that I got the opportunity, not scratch that – the HONOUR of even being allowed in the same room as harry. I mean I know I was quite far away but dude, I loved every moment.

Now lets break it all down and start with the beginning

Okay so the concert was before I had the massive bust up with Lynn and we were really good friends here so we both decided to buy tickets (she actually convinced me to) and go together.

At first I was SUPER excited. Like I was on a high and nobody could bring me down – I was going to see HARRY STYLES FOR FUCKS SAKE. But as time went on, I got more and more skeptical about it. Like it was my first concert and I was going with my friend a 16 year old girl. So this would mean, two young teenagers, travelling far from home to a place that there is going to be thousands and thousands of strangers and not get home till 1 in the morning? Great.

Anyway, as each day passed, I got more and more scared and was even thinking of cancelling on Lynn and just not going at all. But then I decided to grow a pair, stop being a lil bitch and just go. I was going to have fun and enjoy myself even if I had to force myself to.

So the day of the concert rolled around and I made my way to Lynns house. I was wearing my favourite oversized hoodie and a pair of leggings (yes, I am that basic bitch) along with some black trainers. I guess you could say that I was going for a “this is my first concert, please don’t hurt me kinda look”.

When I got to Lynn’s, we went to the supermarket to buy some snacks so that we could eat in the concert because we’d left a good 6 hours before it started in order to be at the front of the line. We ended up buying a shit tonne of snacks and stuff and headed to the arena.

Once we got there, it seems like hundreds of other people had the same idea as us and decided to come early too. This means that we were now about 4 hours early and STILL near the back of the line…great.

About an hour into waiting, a security guard was going through the rules of the venue and during that, on of the rules he said was…

“no food allowed”

me and Lynn both looked at each other when he said that, and then he looked at us and our sheepish faces and came over to us and asked us if we had food. We told him we did and then he asked us what phone contract we had. Ummm I thought this was a little weird but nonetheless I told him and then he told me that because I had this specific contract (Thanks o2) me and 3 other people of my choice could go to the vip section of the waiting area where we could get food and drinks and sit down inside and get a live show instead of waiting outside.

So of course we said yes and Lynn and I decided which 2 other people we would bring with us. Earlier, we had seen this mother and her daughter complaining about how cold it was and they seemed really nice so we picked them and they were so delighted that I couldn’t help but grin like a cheshire cat.

So we got in the vip section, listened to this live band perform which was surprisingly really good and then came the moment we were all waiting for…

the concert was about to begin

so we got out of the vip section and went down this hallway with lights and shit that led to the area and dude…. it was fucking AWESOME.

harryyyy

now our seats were quite far away bit I didn’t care because I WAS GOING TO SEE HARRY STYLES. HARRY FRICKIN STYLES. How amazing is that???

So before harry came out, this girl called Mabel came out and performed her set. She was like his opening act and she was AMAZING. Like after her set, I downloaded aq few of her songs because they were that good, even live.

And then it was time for the star of the show. Harry came out and I legit died and came back to life. I’m pretty sure he started out with ‘Two Ghosts” which is one of my faves and it was sooooo beautiful.

Before the concert has started, one of his fans had gone around and passed out different coloured strips of paper with a little note that said to hold it above your phone flashlight when he played “sweet creature”. it turned out that it was a fan project because Harry has always been super supportive of the LGBT community and it was sorta like an homage to him. This is how it turned out.

harryyyyyyCrazy right? It was even more beautiful in person and everyone was so mesmerised by it.

He carried on with the rest of the concert and even performed some old school one direction songs AND one song that he didn’t put on the album. Twas a very nostalgic night.

Lynn and I actually got lost on the way home but we managed to find our way… eventually. All in all, it was awesome and I can’t wait to do it all over again attt:

Lauv – September
