Welcome back to Midnight Talks. In this episode (yes I said episode. I’m weird, you haven’t realised yet?) we are going to be talking about the weirdest things that have happened to me at night along with some other random talks. Also I like to talk about a topic in these little talks so today, we are going to be talking about Friends
Before I start rambling, if you guys have anything you want to hear my opinion on or something you want me to talk about, lemme know in the comments, but for now, lets get into it!
Okay so this past week, I’ve had a couple exams and guys…they were soo HARD! I mean, I’d like to say that I think I did really well, but I won’t know for sure until I get the results back next week. AND I still have a few more exams next week so as you can probably tell, I’m so excited, I mean I just can’t wait (!) (sorry, I’m the sarcasm queen). But anyway, wish me luck for my exams, and have you guys got any coming up soon?
Also, because I’ve been staying up so late because I’m stupid and haven’t been revising (thanks a lot Teggs) I have been watching a lot of throwback TV shows. Like the other day I was up till around 4am watching reruns of Friends and Gossip Girl. I miss those kind of shows so much because nowadays, there aren’t a lot of them around. Uhh by the way, if any of you guys watch Gossip Girl or friends then we must be friends…like now. Come on guys we can be the next Blair Waldorf and Serena van Der Woodsen! Sorry, I’ve become a little bit obsessed and Nate?… come on guys, you gotta love him.
By the way, have any of you guys watched ALL of Pretty Little Liars? Now I LOVED that series but I have to admit, the ending was pretty anti climatic, I mean, really? Now I’m not gonna give you guys spoilers but if you’ve watched it, lemme know if it’s just me, or did you expect more from it. I definitely did.
Ooo now that I’ve spoken about throwback shows, I have loads of TV shows in my head that I
want NEED you guys to check out –
- The Inbetweeners (This is hilarious but has lots of swearing sooo)
- How I Met Your Mother
- Pretty Little Liars
- Mr Student Body President (this is AMAZING I REALLY recommend it)
- Power (EXPLICIT)
- The Big Bang Theory
- Teen Wolf
- The Vampire Diaries (I just started it but already really good)
- Hollyoaks (this is more of a British thing but it’s so good)
Okay so not all of theses are old but I want you to check them out because they are awesome. If any of you have any tv shows for me to watch then let me know because I am ALWAYS looking for more to watch.
Okay so as you guys know, I really wanted to do photography at college but now I’m starting to rethink it. I still love it and have a massive passion for it, but I’ve been told by quite a few people that it isn’t wise. It’s very hard to make it as a photographer, so maybe I should do more series topics at college and then maybe pursue photography as a hobby? I don’t know, it’s just something I’ve been thinking about. What do you guys think? Are any of you going through difficult decisions in school? I’d be happy to help you guys out!
Okay, so now, I’m am going to be telling you guys some of the most EMBARRASSING, funny and memorable things that have happened to me at night. Be prepared for some cringing guys, it’s gonna be a long night.
Story Number 1 –
So this story takes place on a school trip when I was 10. We went on a trip to an adventure camp where we spent a week there. I was roomed with all of my best friends at the time and a couple of girls that I got along with so it was all cool. You see guys, I’m late to everything. Trips, events, class…learning how to stop wetting the bed… Yep that’s right, I was still wetting the bed at 10. Don’t judge okay?
Anyway, the whole week leading up to the trip, I hadn’t wet the bed, so I was so proud of myself, I wasn’t even thinking about wetting the bed, which is probably why, on the first night, I drank like 10 glasses of water with dinner…yeah, probably not a good idea if you’re prone to bed wetting. Anyway, I went to bed that night, my head full of dreams and my bladder full of water, and woke up at like 3 a.m to find out that my bed was wet. Without even thinking, I dashed out of my bed and ran to the toilets/showers that all of the girls in my class shared on that trip and ran into a stall. I was soo embarrassed so I took a shower, changed the sheets and put the old ones in the washer (yep I was a smart kid).
As I went back to my room after showering and changing the sheets, I went back to bed and one of my friends woke me up about 10 minutes later and said that she heard noises coming from the toilets…AKA: me. So she asked me to go with her to check it out and when we didn’t see anything, we went back to our room, but she followed me up onto our bed. TurnS out she wanted to speak for a little more, but the whole time, I was wondering if she had noticed that my sheets were especially fresh. I mean, I know it was our first night, but you know how you can tell when sheets are really fresh? They are like kinda crisp and smell really new and… okay you get what I mean.
Anyway, I couldn’t focus on our conversation because I was too nervous so I decided to distract her with some candy that we had all bought on the way and after a while we both fell asleep. ON MY BED. THAT I HAD JUST WET HOURS BEFORE. And I know I changed the sheets so it wasn’t a big deal, but I dont know, something about it made me really uncomfortable. I still don’t know to this day if she realised but, I REALLY hope she didnt.
Story Number 2 –
Okay so this one was when I was either 12 or 13 and it was during a sleepover with my best friend. So I didn’t have my enough space in my bedroom at the time so we brought mattresses and sleeping bags to my living room which was more than enough space to sleep…and apparently to also choreograph a 10 minute dance routine to a music playlist of our choice. Yeah.. we were weird kids.
That night, we learnt new swear words, figured out what we would call our kids, stole my mothers phone for the night and made prank calls and then decided to sneak out but then got too scared so changed our minds. We did a lot of crazy shit that night, and you guys might not find this story that funny but I’ll NEVER forget it because it was one of the best nights of our lives.
So we started watching a film but I fell asleep about halfway through and when I woke up it was ending…oops sorry dude. Then for some reason, we decided to bake cookies at 2am in the morning…because that’s totally normal isn’t it? We went into my kitchen and I had ‘remembered’ a recipe that I always used to make for triple chocolate chip cookies (I told you guys I loved food). Anyway, we had all of the ingredients except for sugar. So me, being the amazing genius that I am, decided it would be an amazing idea to use the sugar cubes (you know the ones you use for tea and coffee and shit?) Yeah I thought it would be great to get spoons and crush them up into our cookie mix.
This was sooo much harder than I thought it would m=be and the sugar ended up going EVERYWHERE. I know it doesn’t sound the funniest but that whole night we were laughing about it because even though we used my excellent plan, the cookies turned out to be this weird brownie, flapjack thing and it taste REALLY weird too sooo… Great(!)
urghhh that was so embarrassing and weird and random but hopefully you got a laugh out of it Now it’s that time of the evening where I had on of my mini talks/rants. Todays topic is…
Guys, it’s needless to say that I have a terrible track record with friends, but I feel like lots of people my age do and it’s not on purpose, it’s just the way of life. You go through the hard times to get to the good times, and it always happens. Sometimes it’s a good thing, because you get to realise who’s real and who’s fake. I feel like it’s a lot better to find out now, than years down the line, after you’ve invested time and feelings with the person right?
I feel like the best advice I could probably give to you would be to don’t let it get to you. I know it’s easier said than done, but if you let it get to you and effect you then it’s gonna take a long time to forget about. Trust me, I’ve been there. It takes up so much of your time and can potentially interfere with your school life and personal life. Just forget about it and move onto bigger and better things. I promise that in the long run, it will be 100% worth it.
Okay so this is the part of the night where I tell you guys the random shit on my mind. I might as well call this Alien Talk or Conspiracy theories because that is literally ALL this is turning into. Lemme just tell you guys what random crap I’m thinking about tonight.
So I’ve told you guys about how sometimes at night I end up on the weird side of youtube right? Well I was watching a video about the Zombie Apocalypse and it made me wonder whether or not I would survive. I answered that very quickly with a no, and then proceeded to watch videos on how to prepare for it. Let’s just say, that I’ll be doing just fine, in my shelter that I will hand make out of twigs (another weird video). If any of you guys wanna survive, you can come to me☺️
When you guys go to sleep, do you ever have a really good dream, and just as it’s getting to the best part, you wake up? That happened to me today and I was seriously SO ANNOYED. I mean, why do dreams feel the need to stop it just as to gets good? I think they just want to let you know that reality is still here and nothing is too good. It just gives you that little push to help you remember that you still have school in the morning…thanks dreams(!)
What would midnight talks be if it didn’t end on the note of aliens? Okay so, once again, I was watching another video about aliens and artificial intelligence and we actually COULD be living in a virtual reality. Nobody knows what happens when we are unconscious so what if we live a whole life, and then die, just to wake up and realise it was a figment of our imagination and that the span of a whole life was actually just a couple seconds or minutes? I mean, we’ll never know for sure but you know who probably do? Yeah that’s right, aliens.
Okay so on that note, this concludes this weeks midnight talks! I feel like they get weirder and weirder every time but oh well.
Also don’t forget to leave me some comments about things you would like me to talk about or things you want my opinion on. You could also email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and I’ll see you soon with another one!
See you at midnight!🌙
