So I was scrolling through the posts of one of my favourite bloggers here, and I came across a post about summer bucket lists. I’ll link it here. Anyway, it made me realise that I haven’t made one yet. I’ve had no reason not to, I just haven’t. So I thought, as I still have around month and a half left of my summer, why not make one? Without further adieu, here is my Summer ’17 Bucket List!
My Summer ’17 Bucket List
1. TRAVEL –
I should be going on holiday this summer which is VERY exciting. My family like to plan very last minute, so right now, we are deciding between Dubai, New York and Paris. I personally would love to go to New York, but I have to remember that I have to take into account the opinions of the other 5 members in my fam. Anyway, no matter where I’m going, I would love to get out and about and see new places and experience different scenes. I’ll definitely be doing lots of sight seeing and once I find out where I’m going, you’ll be the first to know!
2. GO ON A BOAT RIDE –
I know this is really random, but for the longest time, I have really wanted to go on a boat ride. I mean, if it wasn’t for my crippling fear of water, I’d have probably done it by now, but that’s what makes it interesting. By the end of this summer, I am determined to have conquered my fear of water. I plan to go on a boat ride, anywhere will do, for a whole hour and try my best not to freak out and tip the boat or something horrible like that. I guess you’ll see if this one goes to plan by the end of the summer!
3. GO TO A NIGHT TIME ARTS AND CRAFTS CLASS –
I have absolutely no clue why this is even on my mind, but you see it all the time in the movies and stuff, and I wanna see what all of the fuss is about. Also, one of my friends has done one while she was on holiday last year in LA (Lucky bitch I know right?) and she told me it was really good. I doubt I’ll get this one done, but why not just put it in my bucket list?
UMMMM…I’m in the middle of writing this and I realise how stupid half the things I’m writing are… I’ll see myself out.
4. WATCH A MOVIE OUTDOORS –
I don’t really know the proper name for this, but you know what I’m talking about right? Where the chairs and blankets are laid out and there is a massive screen where you can watch movies in the outdoors with everyone. Preferably at sunset on the beach, but hey, if I can get it done, I’m not gonna be complaining. I just feel like it’s something that would be great to experience once in a lifetime.
5. GO TO A THRIFT STORE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY –
Now, I’ve been to a lot of thrift stores in my lifetime, but I would love to go to one in another country to kind of scope out the style of the place. Not only would it be a great learning experience and a great place to but some new outfits, but it would be a great place to meet some new people. I heard that only the coolest people shop in thrift shops (well maybe..) so hopefully it would be a great place to make some new friends, which leads me to the next item of my bucket list…
6. MAKE AT LEAST 1 NEW FRIEND –
If you’ve been following this blog (if you have, you’re the real MVP), then you’ll know that I’ve had my fair share of friendship difficulties and right now, there are VERY few people that I can actually trust. This summer, I plan to make a new friend, whether it be on holiday, or just on my way to the shops and I bump into somebody and find my spirit animal. I’m not quite sure about this one as I am by far the worlds most awkward human being and will probably scared the life out of them but hopefully it will all work out.
7. GO TO A FARM –
I LOVE pigs. I know this is random but I do. Pigs are just the best animals in the world and I remember when I was little, I begged and begged my parents to let me get one. Not a big one because even I knew that was never going to happen. I begged for a teacup pig. You know, the little ones that are just the cutest? Well I was rejected time and time again, so I feel like the next best thing would be to visit them. By the end if this summer, I would like to visit a farm to see my favourite animal and just spend a day with them. That, my friends, would probably be my definition of a day from heaven.
8. HAVE A SUMMER BBQ –
Just with my family though. It’s been such a long time since we have all just hung out. I know it’s weird to actually WANT to hang out with family, but it’s been so long that I don’t even remember what it’s like. I want to talk about how are days were and play games and just be the family that we were before. I guess being the youngest of 4 siblings mean that you miss a lot of things, but maybe soon we will all get a chance to reconnect.
9. GO TO A MUSIC CONCERT / FESTIVAL –
Another thing that I wanna achieve before the end of the summer is to become better in public situations. What better way that to go to a concert right? There’s people everywhere and it would be something great to experience. The whole atmosphere of an environment where everyone has gathered together to share their love for the same person. It could also be a great place to socialise so I’d love a chance to do that.
The rest of these are really silly so I’m not even going to explain them… Enjoy!
10. MAKE A WISH IN A FOUNTAIN
11. BUILD A FORT
12. GO TO A THEMED PARTY
13. GO NIGHT SWIMMING
14. GET A MASSAGE
15. GO BACK YARD CAMPING
16. MAKE A MINI MOVIE
17. MAKE A PEN PAL (Maybe one of you guys if you want! Lets be internet friends!)
18. MAKE TIE DYE T-SHIRTS
19. HAVE AN ALL NIGHTER
20. START A SUMMER JOURNAL –
This one is actually one that I’m really looking forward to. Hopefully I won’t forget to fill it out everyday.
21. HAVE A SUMMER LOVE –
This is stupid, but there’s gotta be some romance in this. Who knows… maybe I’ll find the man of my dreams!
Anyway guys, that s it for my bucket list. There is probably a lot more but I’m a forgetful little potato. I let you guys know how I get on with it and please let me know if you wanna be my pen pal / internet friend! I feel like we’ll have a blast!
I’ll see you in my next blog post!
