This is a continuation of my Hell Week: Day FOUR blog post and today I’m going to be telling you about the life of a Teenage Student during exam season. I am currently 14, AKA : A Freshman in High school, AKA: A Year 10 in Secondary School. Either way, we all go through the same thing, in fact, lemme give you a rundown:
A Typical Day in the Life of a Teenage Student
You finally wake up after hitting snooze on your phone about 50 times and take a shower. You get out of the shower, get ready, have breakfast and leave your place for school. You get in, find your friends and chill for a bit until first period starts.
You get to your first class, have a quick nap (is that just me?… okay I’ll leave). and then head to your next class (unless you have double maths.. then life sucks). Then you get a break where you finish your last minute homework that you completely forgot about and hand it in with the pretend confidence you only have if you’ve been working on it all week.
Lunchtimes. My favourite part of the day. Its where everyone spreads all the gossip they’ve heard throughout the day and you listen in secretly holding a book so it doesn’t look obvious (… just me again? wow I should stop this).
Anyways, then you get to eat the nasty cafeteria food that you still have to pay for even though you never eat it. You also get a chance to catch up with your friends and hear about any gossip that you are actually invited to listen to. Then its back off to your final two periods and then home time, where if you’ve got some extra things like football or cheerleading, you stay behind. If you’re too socially awkward for things like that, you go home.
You spend the rest if the afternoon chilling and watching Netflix, even though you should be revising, or if you have a life (can someone tell me where I can find one?) you go out and do something fun or productive. Anything. Anything at all.
You eat dinner and proceed to stay awake until 3 am because you realise you have an exam first thing in the morning. Every time one of your parents come in, you duck under the covers until they leave and then go back to revising. You fall asleep with a flash card stuck to your face…Lovely(!)
Then the cycle repeats, but this time, you wake up very tired.
I bet nobodies day goes like this, but it was fun to write.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I’ll see you soon with another one!
