Quick and Easy Revision Tips

Hey Guys!

This blog post is an addition to my Hell Week: Day One blog post and today I’ll be letting you guys know some of my best revision techniques that will help you out if you have any exams coming up soon, or jut to prepare you for any one you may have in future. So without further adieu, lets get into it!

Tip One – Come Prepared

When you first want to revise, make sure you have all of the appropriate materials like:

  • Revision Guides
  • Revision Cards
  • Highlighters
  • Pencils and Pens

It also might interest you to have some snacks, maybe some music just to focus you and keep you in the zone.

Tip Two – Get Rid of Any Distractions

I know it’s hard and I know its scary but…

PUT DOWN THE PHONE!

You are never going to get anywhere if your phone is pinging every five minutes and you just can’t help but checking it ‘one last time’. You need to get rid of it. Even if it is just by putting it at the other end of your house, or simply by just turning it off. Just make sure it is out of the way and you are ready to focus.

Tip Three – It Doesn’t Have to Look Like a Work of Art

The work doesn’t have to look amazing, it’s all about preference. If your work looking neat helps you revise then by all means, go for it. But if you are looking for quick ways to revise then it doesn’t really matter how it looks. As long as you understand it and it is what you are comfortable with then that’s all that you need.

Tip Four – Take Short Breaks

Apparently taking breaks while revising really helps son would advise that you should revise for around half and hour and take a 5 – 10 minute break. Don’t take breaks too quickly or frequently because it will defeat the whole purpose.

Tip Five –  Divide Your Time Equally

Make sure that you spend the same amount of time on everything. To spread your time out more equally, it winked be smart to make a timetable for your revision schedule so that you know exactly what it is that you need to study and when so that there is no confusion.

That’s it for my revision techniques. Let me know if you found any of them useful and I hope this helps you with any exams you may have!

I’ll see you soon with another blog post soon!

Love,

The, Awkward Expert
